Roughly two weeks into this semester of MIS 340, we are only in the infancy of the course. Bob Hogan, our professor, has introduced us to the basic components of a computer. Our first assignment was to write down the system BIOS for our computers, and our second was to determine the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit computing. Of course, the difference is 64-bit allows for greater amounts of RAM and better computing.
Dr. Hogan has a wealth of knowledge on the subject matter of global data communication and has the experience to show us how to apply that knowledge as IS professionals. MIS 340 and Dr. Hogan allow me to look forward to class each Tuesday and Thursday, because I know I will leave knowing a little more, if not more than a little, on the subject matter of data communications and computer hardware than I did before the lecture. I know the knowledge Dr. Hogan provides each lecture will help everyone in our class succeed in our future endeavors.
