MIS 320 has truly been an awesome class. Every day we learn something exciting and new about the world and work environment that we will inevitably be cast into. Most recently we’ve been working on our final project and learning about the Model-View-Controller architecture. MVC is a little confusing at first but I think that’s just because it is so different from other architectures we have used and everything is not in one place. I was first confused me about 3 tier architecture as well, but once you wrap your mind around the process the architecture loses its mystique and starts to become easier to parse. I do like the intuitiveness of MVC and how it figures out things for you if you know how to use it properly. Even if you don’t, there is always Google. A few weeks ago, we were assigned our final project, which is designing and implementing a system to manage a pharmacy. We recently got back a final ERD and charter. We have also finished designing the system and are now working on actually interacting with MVC and coding the system. It is a lot of hard work, but MIS has equipped me with the tools to figure everything out and complete the project on time. Now I’m going to go work on that.
